Armed with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminology, Rashida pursued her passion for mental health advocacy, culminating in a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Her professional journey includes a pivotal role as Director of Programs within a community-based organization, where she spearheaded comprehensive mental health initiatives.

Rashida's clinical expertise spans a wide spectrum, encompassing interventions within the child welfare system, juvenile justice, public and private school settings, as well as inpatient and outpatient services. She is adept at working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, offering specialized groups in leadership conflict, marriage and family therapy, conflict resolution, peer pressure, self-esteem, and couple’s therapy. Additionally, Rashida is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), enhancing her ability to effectively address trauma- related issues.
